Some highlights from our 2018 WeddingsRead More
Oh 2015 you were a sly minx! From Connemara to Kenmare to Cork and back again (more than once) it was an incredible year. We are more than 5 years into this game and growing ever more thankful every year that these beautiful souls invite us to put our mark on their memories. It is nothing short of a privilege and we still feel like we are just getting started.
Kristi still crys at every wedding and Neal still revels in the shot of adrenaline before each ceremony. To all suppliers who worked behind the scenes to make our jobs easier, thank you. To all the families who welcomed us in their homes (and countless cups of tea offered), thank you. To all the bridesmaids and groomsmen (and even the bridesmen) who offered helping hands and guidance, thank you. To our community of photographers who support us in countless ways, thank you. Most importantly, to our brides and grooms who were nothing short of beautiful people doing things exactly the way they wanted to do them, thank you!

Throw in 47 weddings across five countries and a couple of continents, a trip of a lifetime through the American West, some first rate live music and the ever reliable company of some great friends, family and dogs. What have you got? 2014, one hell of a year.
The highlights are almost too many to mention, but here are a few. Neal’s best friend Alan’s marriage to Carly in the astonishing Zion National Park in Utah (Neal was on best man duty so got the day off from behind the camera, mostly). Kristi’s parent’s first visit to Ireland – culture shock and hilarity galore. Driving through the Mojave Desert at dusk. Neal getting to photograph Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy and John Grant, two of his musical heroes. And so on and so on.
But, it’s not been a year without sadness either. We couldn’t write this without mentioning the passing of our dear old friend and business mascot, Jack the boxer. The last ever photo of Jack is here of course.
Compiling these yearly posts of our favourite photos, we’re always conscious to not be too wedding-centric and to include plenty of our personal work. For this stuff we mostly shoot film, and there’s so much great stuff this year that we’ve decided to keep this post digital only. Keep your eyes peeled over the next few days for the film highlights of 2014, it’s going to be good!
So, there’s nothing left to say but thank you. Thank you to all the couples who chose to go Campbell this year. Thank you to Jack for the memories. Thank you to Thatch for all the barking. Many thanks to Kieran from Open House Festival for all the gig photography opportunities. Thanks to our fellow photographers for the endless craic and support. And thank you to all the others who deserve to be thanked. You know who you are.

Well, 2013 was a big year for us. It was the year when it all became real. When the dream of both of us making a living from our passion for photography became a reality. It’s been a busy year, but a very, very good one.
Creating a blog post to summarise the year just gone has filled us with a mixture of happiness and apprehension. Happiness to get the opportunity to revisit a year of incredible weddings, family, friends, dogs and laughter, and apprehension at the thought of how the two of us will ever actually agree on which photos best convey all of this!
But finally, here it is! These images were chosen because they resonate. Because when we looked at them we smiled. Some were chosen before we even sat down to look at them, others because we had forgotten about them. What they all have in common is that they represent what is important to us in what we do and that is to tell stories with our pictures.
And it’s not all weddings! We go nowhere without cameras, so we’ve included some of the things we’ve seen and documented from day to day.
So, that’s it for 2013 and we’re looking forward to what 2014 brings. For the opportunity to continue developing our craft, for more amazing weddings (some of which we will be attending as guests, for a change!), for travel and for all the rest! See you along the way.
